Dig down 4 blocks before pasting each part. All have same Y when pasting. Make sure you are still facing East.

Part 2: Move to X+1, Y, Z-46. For example if you were at 200 30 -100 when you pasted part 1, move to 201 30 -146 to paste part 2

Also, I recommend you download an animal mod with better creatures (I used "Wizards Animals mod" so many enclosures are named according to the animals I got from there, but you can use whatever you like).
